Original antique World War One medical recruitment poster - We Need You - featuring an illustration by Albert Sterner (1863-1946) depicting a Red Cross nurse appealing to a young lady for help with light shining down on her uniform as she points to another nurse tending to a wounded soldier on a bed, his head and arm wrapped in bandages. The American Red Cross ARC was formed in 1881 as non-profit humanitarian organization founded by the American Civil War nurse Clara Barton (Clarissa Harlowe Barton; 1821-1912). Published by American Lithographic Co. NY. Good condition, tears in margins, creasing, foxing, staining, pencil mark in the bottom left corner.
