Original vintage advertising poster for the 37th National Fair Comptoir Suisse / Fiore Nationale Comptoir Suisse in Lausanne, Switzerland with artwork by Celestino Piatti (1922-2007). The Comptoir Suisse / Swiss Counter is a popular annual fair where individual traders, local producers and larger companies showcase Swiss cultural and culinary traditions. Following the Great Depression the fair became a way to strengthen the domestic market. The poster features a striking image of a cockerel, outlined with thick black lines and filled with bold vibrant colours. Printed by Roth & Sauter SA Lausanne.
