Original antique advertising poster for Lu biscuits Lefevre-Utile featuring an iconic design by a French poster artist Firmin Bouisset (1859-1925) depicting Petit Ecolier or the Little Schoolboy dressed in a cape and holding a basket marked Lu on one arm whilst looking out to the viewer and eating a biscuit, the stylised company name Lu over the image with a Lu Petit-Beurre Nantes biscuit above and the text below. Lefevre-Utile was founded in Nantes, in 1846 by Jean-Romain Lefevre. Large size. Good condition, folds, minor creasing, minor staining, punched holes, repaired tears, backed on linen.
