Travel Poster Namur Citadel Meuse Valley Belgium Northern Railway. Original vintage travel advertising poster published by the Chemin de Fer du Nord French Northern Railway Company promoting the Belgian city of Namur and its ancient castle (the Citadel of Namur), the Meuse valley river and the Caves of Han-sur-Lesse in French - Namur et son antique citadelle Vallee de la Meuse Grottes de Han - featuring a scenic painterly illustration by the French artist Julien Lacaze (1886-1971) depicting a cruise boat sailing on the Meuse river with steep cliffs and hills overlooking the valley in the background and birds flying over a path and a railway track partly hidden behind the autumn coloured trees and bushes, leading to a tunnel inside the cliffs, the text above in orange letters against the cloudy blue sky and below against the border in bold white letters with a railway route map of the picturesque area served by the train service, the railway company name on a white banner at the top. Good condition, restored tears, creasing, minor staining. Country of issue: Belgium, designer: Julien Lacaze, size (cm): 104x70, year of printing: 1925.
