Advertising Poster Schoolgirl Grooming Mum Deodorant USA Hygiene Health. Original vintage advertising poster published in the interest of better personal grooming by the makers of Mum Deodorant - Grooming for school - featuring an image of a smiling lady in a flared pink dress seen holding books, with grooming points for hair, face, teeth, daintiness, hands, dress or sweater and skirt, posture, stockings or socks, and shoes. Mum was the first brand of commercial deodorant developed in Philadelphia in 1888, the company was bought by Bristol-Myers in 1931, the first roll-on deodorant was developed in 1952, it spread worldwide in the 1960s, and was sold to Procter & Gamble in 2001, who still produces it. Good condition, creasing, small tears, foxing, pinholes. Country of issue: USA, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 67x41, year of printing: 1949.
