  The notable graphic designer Abram Games (Abraham Gamse; 1914-1996) is considered one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. Under his “maximum meaning, minimum means” approach, the iconic modernist designs created by Games during World War Two as the official war artist for posters and his commercial and social awareness work (including posters, stamps, book covers and emblem designs) create as strong an impact today as they did when they were first issued and put on display.
