Travel Poster Cunard White Star RMS Queen Mary. Original vintage cruise travel poster by Cunard White Star featuring a painting by the British artist William McDowell (1888-1950) depicting the RMS Queen Mary ocean liner with smaller tug boats and a speedboat in the foreground below the cloudy sky, the text and a stylised image of a ship on green stripes against the white border below. The British shipping company Cunard White Star Line was founded in 1934 by Cunard (founded 1840) and White Star Line (1845-1934) providing passenger and shipping transportation services on the transatlantic route until 1949 when Cunard bought out White Star. The historic Queen Mary is now a hotel and museum ship permanently moored at Long Beach in Los Angeles California. Horizontal. Good condition, tears, staining, creasing, paper losses on top edge, pencil mark on the bottom left corner.
